The little sis gets married!

Today Spencer's younger sister married her fiance Chris
They had a small wedding in washington that we were able to attend, along with Spencer's brother John and his wife Angie.

Danielle
She looked beautiful in her dress, just as every bride does!

a little laugh as Danielle corrects herself after trying to put his ring on the wrong finger :D
First Dance

Chris is much taller then Danielle as you can see. Poor girl didn't have heels on so she had to reach!

The money dance

We donated 5 dollars so the big brother could share a quick dance with the bride

John and Danielle

This was actually my first time meeting Danielle and I can't wait to get to know her better throughout the years.

We wish you all the best in your lives together!

Isn't She Sweet?

YES SHE IS!
Our little niece Cedar is getting so big!
A very very happy girl, she really never cries and loves to smile!

She has learned how to roll over onto her tummy and she is trying hard to crawl.

Spence and I took her to church today while Ryon, Annie, and Tanner stayed at our house. She was the best baby I have ever seen at church! Not a peep even when she was awake.

We love her SO much and can't wait to see her grow even more!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

For our 2nd anniversary my boss (Lisa) made us reservations @ Portland City Grill!
She also gave us a 50.00 gift card to go towards our dinner.
We had an amazing view of Downtown Portland from our window table.

Our table was decorated with red confetti hearts ^

Oh SO Yummy! Teriyaki Chicken Rice Paper Spring Rolls^

Hood River Apple, Candied Hazelnuts, & Gorgonzola Salad^
I'm not sure I remember what this was called but Spencer liked it ^

Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken Breast^

Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs^

Chocolate Macadamia Brittle Torte ^

Spencer getting creative with our confetti hearts! Very sweet!

I am very grateful to have spent the last two years of my life married to Spence! He has been a great husband and I cannot wait to make more memories with him.

I LOVE YOU!

Hello Again!

So sorry it has been so long.

Life is a little busy at the moment.

Spencer is working and going to school pretty much full-time and I work about 45 hours per week. Long Days for both of us!

We haven't taken any new pictures since our beach trip but here is a little update on the fun things we have been up to!

I have been getting to know the family I nanny for a little better. We went to a Sellwood concert at Riverfront Park last week to listen to music and hang out with each other. It was a good time.
Renegade Saints ^

Spencer was ordained an Elder this past Sunday. What an exciting and special time. We are now one step closer to where we want to be!

I have been attending Weight Watchers meetings every Saturday with my sis-in-law Annie. I have lost 8.6 pounds so far and have to loose 25.8 more to reach my goal! In efforts to keep up my motivation and be accountable to a few more people I am going to post each weigh in on our page. If I lost less than a pound in a week you have my permission to give me crap! However, if I have lost more than two PLEASE give me a pat on the back! This is also a competition between Annie and I. We both put in $5 a week and whoever is closer to their goal on November 1st will win the $160.00!
Last night Spencer and went to the movies with Ryon and Annie to see The Dark Knight.

It is not my kind of movie and it was 2.5 hours long but over all I did like it.

Since everyone who saw the movie is going to comment on the late Heath Ledger and his role as The Joker, I will too.

He did an amazingly creepy job! I was very disturbed by his part! With the make-up and such you really can't tell, all too often, that it is Heath.

A great movie over all but just be warned it is long and children should not be taken to watch it.
Well as I said we are so busy these days which results in not doing too much that is fun and exciting so, that's all we have for now.
Be Back Soon! Hopefully with something more exciting!

A Little Note...

Spencer is now enrolled in school full-time at Portland Community College and on our way to Seaside he got a call back from a job he interviewed for.
HE GOT THE JOB!
It will be a little more than part- time and he will be paid pretty well. HOORAY!
He is working for a company called Motosports. They sell motorcycle accessories through their internet company so Spencer will be taking and confirming orders.
This phone call made our beach trip even better!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Fort Stevens

After setting up camp on Thursday we headed N on Hwy 101 to Fort Stevens.
Now I hate learning about history from a text book in a classroom but Spence loves it. We both however love to see actual history. It is so cool to be able to walk around a historical landmark and see all the different things. That still doesn't mean that I retain the great things that I learn even though I probably should.

Japanese Balloon attack during WW2 ^

Train pictures for my Daddy

It was fun to look at the train model after we got back from our exploring and see where we had been.

Tall and steep stairs.

Spence made it to the top before I and was in awe of the view.

These beautiful flowers were everywhere ^
At the top of that hike up the stairs was the ^
Our view

We absolutely love Oregon for all its beauty and because we can look one direction and see the ocean or water of some sort and another and see a huge forest. We can drive a hour and a half to the beach and to the mountain. It is also great to live in a place were there is so much history!

Look at those huge tools they used! ^

Birds LOVE the inside of the cool and dark battery.
Mama Deer

and of out the trees came two babies

This faces the water and moves from side to side as well as up and down ^

Look at how huge this is ^

Not sure if you can see it but off in the distance of this picture is the bridge that takes you to Astoria. ^

Outside Indian Longhouse ^
Inside ^
To the left of the picture there was a whole wall of wood bunks.

Below: A couple of the many rememberance roses in the memorial rose garden.

We enjoyed our trip to Fort Stevens very much! It reminded us of all the things that we LOVE about Oregon!
