Hello Again!

So sorry it has been so long.

Life is a little busy at the moment.

Spencer is working and going to school pretty much full-time and I work about 45 hours per week. Long Days for both of us!

We haven't taken any new pictures since our beach trip but here is a little update on the fun things we have been up to!

I have been getting to know the family I nanny for a little better. We went to a Sellwood concert at Riverfront Park last week to listen to music and hang out with each other. It was a good time.
Renegade Saints ^

Spencer was ordained an Elder this past Sunday. What an exciting and special time. We are now one step closer to where we want to be!

I have been attending Weight Watchers meetings every Saturday with my sis-in-law Annie. I have lost 8.6 pounds so far and have to loose 25.8 more to reach my goal! In efforts to keep up my motivation and be accountable to a few more people I am going to post each weigh in on our page. If I lost less than a pound in a week you have my permission to give me crap! However, if I have lost more than two PLEASE give me a pat on the back! This is also a competition between Annie and I. We both put in $5 a week and whoever is closer to their goal on November 1st will win the $160.00!
Last night Spencer and went to the movies with Ryon and Annie to see The Dark Knight.

It is not my kind of movie and it was 2.5 hours long but over all I did like it.

Since everyone who saw the movie is going to comment on the late Heath Ledger and his role as The Joker, I will too.

He did an amazingly creepy job! I was very disturbed by his part! With the make-up and such you really can't tell, all too often, that it is Heath.

A great movie over all but just be warned it is long and children should not be taken to watch it.
Well as I said we are so busy these days which results in not doing too much that is fun and exciting so, that's all we have for now.
Be Back Soon! Hopefully with something more exciting!

A Little Note...

Spencer is now enrolled in school full-time at Portland Community College and on our way to Seaside he got a call back from a job he interviewed for.
HE GOT THE JOB!
It will be a little more than part- time and he will be paid pretty well. HOORAY!
He is working for a company called Motosports. They sell motorcycle accessories through their internet company so Spencer will be taking and confirming orders.
This phone call made our beach trip even better!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Fort Stevens

After setting up camp on Thursday we headed N on Hwy 101 to Fort Stevens.
Now I hate learning about history from a text book in a classroom but Spence loves it. We both however love to see actual history. It is so cool to be able to walk around a historical landmark and see all the different things. That still doesn't mean that I retain the great things that I learn even though I probably should.

Train pictures for my Daddy

It was fun to look at the train model after we got back from our exploring and see where we had been.

Tall and steep stairs.

Spence made it to the top before I and was in awe of the view.

These beautiful flowers were everywhere ^
At the top of that hike up the stairs was the ^
Our view

We absolutely love Oregon for all its beauty and because we can look one direction and see the ocean or water of some sort and another and see a huge forest. We can drive a hour and a half to the beach and to the mountain. It is also great to live in a place were there is so much history!

Look at those huge tools they used! ^

Birds LOVE the inside of the cool and dark battery.
Mama Deer

and of out the trees came two babies

This faces the water and moves from side to side as well as up and down ^

Look at how huge this is ^

Not sure if you can see it but off in the distance of this picture is the bridge that takes you to Astoria. ^

To the left of the picture there was a whole wall of wood bunks.

We enjoyed our trip to Fort Stevens very much! It reminded us of all the things that we LOVE about Oregon!

4th Of July Camping Trip

Out of no where we decided we wanted to go camping for the 4th of July weekend.
We had no camping stuff (including a tent) so we had to go shoppin for it all .
We left our house at 7:30 on Thursday morning. Got gas. Ate at McDonalds (I felt so sick after eating it. YUCK!) and we were on the road to the Oregon Beaches (Seaside to be exact).

Tons of extra room for all our camping stuff ^

Our little campground ^

We LOVE our new tent.

It sprinkled the first night we were there and rained pretty good the second and we never got wet. We stayed really warm and cozy!

Campground provided by Circle Creek Campground.

We don't really recommend you stay here. It served its purpose for us but next time we want something more secluded and forest like. Circle creek is a huge tent field with no trees so unless you have some sort of cover you can't be outside of your tent and not get wet when it is raining.

You can also here every stinkin' word your neighbors say! No sleeping in for us, or going to bed early for that matter!

We did really enjoy our trip together though. We loved being able to do whatever and not have worry about getting back to anything. No schedule was great! It was fabulous to be just the two of us with no work and only play!
